Healing Coach Sarit Shaer Reveals the Self-Care Tool That's More Effective Than Positive Thinking

Sometimes, we can be our own worst critics.
That's why healing coach Sarit Shaer doesn't necessarily recommend practicing "positive thinking" until you've mastered a more doable self-care tool.
"I think positive thinking is good, but it's not specific to a technical skill," she told E! News in an exclusive interview. "Because I can be like, 'I'm going to one day be wealthy.' But it feels like I'm telling myself a lie."
Instead, Sarit wants people to recognize the way they speak to themselves.
"Listen to your inner dialogue all day long," she shared. "The first step I would tell someone is to record what your pattern of thinking is—every thought you have towards yourself. Our inner dialogue reflects our vibration. If I have confidence, but my inner dialogue is saying, 'Everyone else here looks so much better than me,' it's going to resonate and people are going to feel that."
As the crystal and stone healer put it, "Figure out what your inner dialogue is and take two steps to make an effective change."
If you're unsure how to reframe your mindset, Sarit shared her go-to practice.
"Every time you have an inner dialogue with yourself, end it with, 'My love or my child,'" she said. "So, if I left my car in an area that doesn't have parking and I get a ticket, and I start to say to myself, 'I can't believe I parked in the wrong spot...my love.' It totally changes the whole thing."
Sarit suggested doing this with every conversation you have with yourself.
"The way you talk to your child is different than the way you talk to yourself," the Healer's Collection co-founder pointed out. "You are just as valuable as any other human being, and you don't have the right to talk down to yourself."
Incorporating this self-care practice, she noted, will ultimately lead to positive thinking.
"You'll slowly soften the internal conversations you have with yourself—being a lot more understanding, a lot more sympathetic," she explained. "And think: 'What would I say to my child? What would I say to the love of my life? Why am I different? Why don't I deserve to be spoken to with respect?'"
And if you want an extra boost of positive energy throughout your day, Sarit's crystal bracelets from The Healer's Collection are real gems. In fact, each piece is carefully curated to bring balance to your mind, body and spirit.
"There's a science behind it," she shared. "Every area of your body carries a different emotion. For example, let's say you have a job interview you're nervous about. That day, what are you doing? You're running to the bathroom. Why? Because the bladder cleans out the the body and holds shame. So, if I'm stressed out about being judged in my interview, I'm gonna get nervous and my bladder is going to feel it."
This is where the crystal bracelets come in, as she'd recommend the piece with citrine and rutilated quartz.
"When you wear it, it cleans out and heals that organ, our bladder, and our negative thoughts," she continued. "It energetically gives the bladder the mineral that wipes out anything that's toxic in there."
And before this all sounds a little woo-woo, the key takeaway here is to find ways to look and feel your best—and believe it wholeheartedly.
"The number one thing is you'll only be as loved as you can love yourself," she expressed. "Nobody can love you more than that."
