Halle Bailey is ecstatic that partner DDG is part of her world.
In fact, The Little Mermaid star recently gave insight into her "transformative" romance with the rapper.
"I think the best thing about young love is that you're able to continue to find yourself through this journey of loving somebody else," Halle told People in an interview published May 17. "And you're discovering new parts of yourself and maybe things that you didn't notice before about your heart."
"I feel like things change when love gets more involved in your life," the 23-year-old added. "I have definitely discovered more within myself as a woman. It's a really cool thing to go through, but a transformative experience."
And DDG—born Darryl Grandberry—has made it clear he's head over heels for the "Ungodly Hour" singer.
During a Nov. 1 appearance on The Breakfast Club radio show, he confessed, "I've never been with nobody that's, like, really motivated me like she do."
As for whether he sees wedding bells in the future? He revealed he thinks they'll "eventually" be on the table.
Halle and DDG first sparked romance rumors when they were spotted together at Usher's Las Vegas residency together in Jan. 2022, with the 25-year-old confirming the relationship with a birthday tribute to Halle on Instagram that March.
They made their red carpet debut just a few months later at the 2022 BET Awards in June. But while their romance blossomed a little more than a year ago, their admiration for one another goes way back.
"I've been a fan of his for years," Halle admitted to Essence last August. "I grew up being on YouTube and would always see the young Black creators and was constantly inspired by them. He was one of them."
When asked if she was "in love" with DDG, the singer revealed, "Yeah. I would say that."
